Day 2 - Yakima to Bend

We thought we'd lost North Town Coffee - our go to stop in Yakima.

Turns out they've taken a big step up into new digs - breathing life back into the old Yakima rail station.

So fabulous to see this incredible historic place, and her amazing architecture, available for all to enjoy once again. Thanks North Town Coffee! Best of luck!

And the trains still really do go past - the whole building shakes in response!

Colonel Mustard with the breadknife in "Private".

Street photographer.

This would have been just an awesome location for an X Files shoot.

The World-Famous Horseshoe Bend of the Unnamed Ditch. Probably the most photographed site between Seattle and Mexico in the West.

The state of many State Parks.

No crossing of the Columbia River is complete without a visit to Dinty's.

Last Chance Gas on the Way to Bend.

The friendly folks at legendary Cinder Butte Meats. They were closed, but opened up just for us after hours. There is a rub they sell, in unmarked Mason jars, made by "Stacy". Buy all you can. We discovered it last year, and made a special trip here just to get more. And more beef. And lamb. And bacon.

Ariana. One of the best in Bend. They're off to NYC to cook for the James Beard Foundation next week, using all-Bend products. But, they had to cook for us first. Yum.
